Group Work

As the saying goes, “you can’t kid a kidder”

An extremely effective way of working through problems, challenging behaviours, specifically addictions and eating disorders, is by taking part in group therapy.  The most important aspect with this type of treatment is that individuals in the group are able to recognise familiar patterns and behaviours and this helps them to effectively challenge other members of the group in a way that family members and friends would not, or may be too afraid to do so.

Group members can help to support each other as they work through their problems, participation in group work gives them the opportunity to talk through and let go of issues that hold them back from fully enjoying their life.

Groupwork is especially useful for:

  • Addictions
  • Eating Disorders
  • Depression
  • Abuse
  • Trauma
  • Anxiety

And for providing support in the form of Aftercare for individuals who have completed a detox or residential treatment programme.

Details on group work to be set up will follow.
